Getting a perfect vocal take can sometimes be a really long process.
Perhaps your singer is having an off day or they’re feeling self-conscious and just can’t seem to nail their part in one take. This is a very common issue.
And the reality of it is that the more you push a singer to keep recording their part over and over, the greater the chances are that you’re going to burn them out and may never get one solid take out of them.
Luckily, technology has made it super simple to edit together bits and pieces of multiple performances and transform them into one “perfect take”.
But even in the editing phase, things can become very time consuming if you haven’t taken the right steps to keep yourself organized.
I’ve put together a video to show how you can speed up your vocal editing and easily create a comp track. I also show you a specific workflow that will help you stay organized and make vocal editing a breeze
